I’ll celebrate election day in Denmark by posting some photos i took back in April. The Danish national flag is red and white, and seeing a shop window in Nørrebro, one of the most culturally diverse areas of Copenhagen, decorated in these colours made me look around for other red/white images.
More corners here at Francesca’s and more red and white in my flickr set.

Gott valkvøld! Væl fangaðar detaljur. Og headarin er for kul!
Takk fyri tað. Og eg haldi TÚ ert kul at velja blankt og skriva um tað. Eg arbeiði enn uppá headaran
ikki ordiliga liðug.
hope the outcome of the elections was good!
I couldn’t leave a comment on your previous post, I really liked the shots of your view in different weather and at different times of day. I hope your daughter’s eye improves very fast!
It’s break even at the moment, very close. My daughter’s eye will improve. We need to keep the weak eye working hard until her eyes stabilize. The eye lady said that usually happens when children are around 7 or 8, so for the next year or two we have to keep up with the treatment. Her glasses are +6 and +5,5, so I don’t have to remind her to wear them
The Danish flag – I have fond memories of it. We lived at the countryside near Hjerning for a couple of years when I was a child, and apart from the flag I liked the julenisser. And the abundance of nature surrounding us, of course.

The funny thing is, though, it isn’t really my flag. Trying to find red/white images made me cringe just a little bit, as does putting them on the blog. Some kind of colonial conflict of emotion… But most days I don’t worry about it
ha. nice one.
(big up for the election results, by the way! I hope you feel that way too…
Thanks. Yes, I do feel that way. The “them” and “us” talk that has been taking up so much space in recent years, has not been good for this country. I am hoping for a more civil public discourse and a push for green energy.
